Dry hopped on 2020-06-29, but only added 35g of tea. Tasted on 2020-07-02 and added another 10g of tea. Bottled on 2020-07-05. It took a while for this beer to become good enough to be enjoyable. Whereas the jasmine comes out OK, there is too much tea and it gives the beer a displeasing astringency. It would have been a better idea to use dried jasmine flowers instead of tea. -- In retrospective, that tea was trash and I wouldn't drink it on its own. -- Using a better jasmine tea would've probably solved that issue (Perles du -- Dragon, for example) It's also pretty thin. If I were to brew it again, I would ditch the rice and try to get a better extraction (we didn't really sparge and just added -- a lot -- of water to top the carboy off). I would also reduce the amount of Mt. Hood at 60mins by half. I'm not sure I get the point of whirpooling hops either, as we cool too quickly. Better add it as very late boil instead.
